The Walter Kids
The Walter Gang (we missed you Justin and Angie!)
Here is a picture of Nick with all his mustache glory! He is so crazy and I LOVE IT!!!

Maggie doing shot for shot with Nick

On Friday night, Nick and I headed up to The Juicy Peanut to celebrate Maggie's (Nick's little sister) 21st birthday! I still am having a hard time believing that she is 21. She was only a little 7 year old girl when I first met her! We had such a great time hanging out with all the brothers and sisters! (and her boyfriend, Blake, too!) I was surprised to see that Maggie could "hold her own" when drinking with her older siblings. She may have just turned 21, but she sure can keep up. I think the A-Chi-O's may have had a little influence on her drinking abilities (at least my sorority did on me!) Cheers to you Maggie, may we share many more drinks together!!!

Caught red handed

He did it! Noah rolled over from back to belly and I was able to catch him on camera. I suspect that he has been rolling over by himself for the past couple of days because he would be on his back, I'd walk away, and when I returned he would be on his belly. At first, I thought that Nicholas and Joshua were rolling him over. Come to find out, this little stinker is doing it all by himself!! Way to go Mr. Noah Noah!

Fun in my Highchair

Who knew that a highchair could be so entertaining?! Noah likes to sit in it and watch me when I am cooking and cleaning up the kitchen. Pretty soon, Noah will be using this chair to eat his cereal. Until then, this chair is for sitting and playing purposes only. Last night, Nicholas and Joshua decided that Noah needed to take his highchair out for a little spin. They had fun making him giggle!

4 Months Old!

On Sunday, our Baby Noah turned 4 months old! He is changing in so many ways. He is really becoming his own little character. Last Friday, he had his well baby visit (yes it included shots this time) and Dr.Raben and his nurse could not believe how big he is getting! I am telling you, I swear he is making a great attempt to catch up with his brothers.

Here are some things we know about Noah at 4 months:

  • He now weighs 15 pounds 7 ounces and is 26 1/4inches long

  • Wearing 6 mo. size clothes and size 2 diapers

  • Starting to look more and more like his big brother Nicholas did at his age

  • Drools like CRAZY! Looks like we will be wearing lots of bibs this month!

  • Everything goes straight in his mouth. He is beginning to "gum" at things. No teeth as of yet, but I am sure that it will not be too long from now.

  • Still eats at Moms, but is just as content with sucking his thumb.

  • He has perfected his tummy-to-back roll and started working on his back-to-tummy roll. He is quite the squirmy worm when he is on the floor.

  • Loves to watch Nicholas and Joshua play with toys. They are his buddies! I don't know how they do it, but they can get him to laugh all the time!

  • Recognizes Mommy! He gets so excited to see me when I get home from work. I love it!!

  • Still loves to play on his activity mat, swing in his swing, bounce in his bouncy chair, and be held in the arms!

  • He is my "lovey dovey", my "Mister Noah Noah", and my "angel"!

My 1st Day of Preschool

I am ready to go Mom! Preschool here I come!

Look at my 2 handsome boys. All grown up and ready to go to school!

Joshua and his new teacher, Mrs. Karcher.

Joshua playing with his new classmate, Abraham!

Today was Joshua's first day of preschool! He has been looking forward to this day for quite sometime now. He couldn't understand why Nicholas was going to school and he wasn't. Well, today was his big day! He was so excited this morning when I told him that we needed to get dressed for school. Noah and I took him to school while Nick took Nicholas to his school. Joshua and I met his teacher and saw his classroom for the 1st time today. Joshua had no trouble with me leaving him. As a matter of fact he said, "Bye Mom. See you later!" I will admit that it was a lot easier for me to leave Joshua than it was when I had to leave Nicholas for the first time at preschool. However, don't think for one minute that I didn't start tearing up as I left him!

P.S. Happy Birthday Dad/Grandpa Dan! We love you very much and hope you have a great day!

A visit from the Tooth Fairy

She came! On Friday night, the tooth fairy paid Nicholas a visit after he fell asleep with his tooth tucked away underneath his pillow. He was surprised to find $2 under his pillow when he woke up! Here is a picture of Nicholas holding up his 2 one dollar bills. I am sure that it will not be long before the tooth fairy makes another trip to our house because Nicholas already has another loose tooth!

I lost my tooth!!!

It finally happened! Nicholas lost his first tooth this evening! Nick and I were cleaning up dinner dishes when Nicholas came bolting into the kitchen to announce "I LOST MY TOOTH! IT FELL OUT!" He was so excited! He had the biggest toothless grin on his face. I thought for sure that he was going to freak out over the small amount of blood, but he didn't. I think the thrill of loosing his tooth overcame the fear of blood (we all know how Nicholas can get when he sees his own blood) After the bleeding stopped, Nicholas picked up the phone to tell Grandma Connie and Grandma Violet the big news! He is now in bed with his tooth under his pillow waiting for the Tooth Fairy to arrive!

Tummy Time

Noah loves being on his belly. He especially likes to lay on the floor on his belly and watch his big brothers play with trucks and cars! I am not sure, but I think that Noah has started rolling over from back to belly! I have not witnessed him do it, but I will put him on his back and walk away and when I come back he will be on his belly. I am still trying to catch that sneaky little fella in action! I will be sure to record him doing it when I catch him.

My 1st Day of Kindergarten!

Kindergarten..Ready or Not..Here I Come!
My Classroom.
Can You believe that I have a locker? How cool!
My new teacher, Mrs. Waddell
Someone, quick, get me a tissue!!! My baby is in Kindergarten!

It's official, Nicholas is a kindergartner! This is such a huge milestone! Today was his first day of school........kind of. What I mean by "kind of" is that today was a presentation for parents and students, drop off your supplies, see your classroom, and meet your teacher school day. I didn't have as hard of a time as I thought I would, but mind you I have not left him by himself yet. His first full day will be this coming Monday. I will definatley have to bring a tissue or maybe the entire box! Nicholas had a great time exploring his new classroom and meeting his new lovely teacher, Mrs.Waddell. I will be sure to post a full report from Nicholas on how Monday goes! Stay tuned!!

Look who's 3!!!

Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you! Happy
Birthday dear Joshua!
Happy Birthday to you!

My goodness, where does the time go? It seems like it was only yesterday that Nick was driving 90MPH through Belleville at 6 in the morning so that Joshua would not make his grand entrance into the world in our Mountaineer!!! Our little man is growing up so quick. I feel as though the more children I have, the faster they grow. We celebrated Joshua's birthday last week by throwing him a pool party. However, I could not let today seem like any other day so I sang "Happy Birthday" to him all day long. He had a "birthday lunch" (complete with a hot fudge sundae) at McDonalds (his choice of course) with Nicholas, Noah, Grandma Connie, Tia, Jamison, and I. Here are some pictures of my little Joshua!

Ready for School

This year, Nicholas and Joshua will both be going to school! Nicholas will be in Kindergarten at Mascoutah Elementary School (a.k.a. Grandma Connie's school) and Joshua will be in preschool at Holy Childhood School (a.k.a. Daddy's old school) Noah will have me all to himself on Tuesdays and Thursdays when Nicholas and Joshua are away. My boys are very excited about school starting. Nicholas's teacher, Mrs.Wadell, called the house yesterday to introduce herself! We have heard wonderful things about her! Nicholas and I are anxious to meet her tomorrow night at open house. Today, the boys and I plan to go shopping for the last of their school supplies. This year we had the hardest time finding 10ct.Crayola Classic Color Washable Markers! Finally, after a long hard search, Grandma Connie found some at Target.(Thank goodness for Grandma Connie) I promise to take pictures of the boys on their first day of school for all of you to see. I can't believe my babies are getting so big! Before I know it, Nick and I will be sending them away to college. On that note, I have to go get a tissue.

I think I can...I think I can......

Lately, Noah has been trying to sit up all on his own little self! He enjoys sitting in his bouncy seat that puts him in a reclining position. Apparently he feels the need to sit up higher because all of a sudden he is pulling himself up with his strong baby abs. He does the same thing when he is in his car seat! I am constantly reminding him that he is a baby and not a big boy. (and the fact that I am jealous of his being able to do more sit-ups than me!) Here is a video of Noah practicing his "sitting up like a big boy" skills.

Fun at Tia's House

TGIS!! Thank Goodness It's Sunday. I know that to most people the acronym is TGIF. However, when you work weekends, like me, it is definitely TGIS!

Nick, the boys, and I went out to Tia's house to drive Uncle Justin's new go-kart this past Thursday. While home, on a break from playing basketball overseas, Justin decided that he needed a new toy. Well, as you can imagine the go-kart is a big hit with the kids (that includes Nick)! Even little Jamison rides in it! I let Nick take me for a spin in it and I must admit that it is FUN! I think that I may have even screamed like a little kid on a roller coaster. Don't worry Justin. I can pretty much guarantee that Nick will not let the go-kart collect dust while you are away!

Take me out the ball game

On Wednesday night, the boys and I ventured out to Freeburg to see Daddy play softball. He has been playing all summer long. This was the 1st game we all went to thus far this season. We didn't get to see much of the game because Nicholas and Joshua were too busy playing in the dirt and I was too busy telling them to stay out of it!!! I can remember back when I was a kid and I would play in the dirt with my brothers at my Dad's ball games. (Mom, now I know how you felt when we would be covered in dirt after Dad's games) It was a good game and Nick's team did win!!! Go Daddy!!

Joshua's Birthday Pool Party!

Tonight we celebrated Joshua's 3rd birthday! He does not turn three till the 21st, but with school starting next week we thought we better celebrate earlier than later. This year Joshua decided that he wanted to have a pool party. He was so excited about his birthday party and would ask me everyday this past week, "Mommy, how many more days until my birthday party?" We had a countdown going. We would even practice singing Happy Birthday to him!

We had fun with all of our family and friends! All of the kids, including Uncle Doug, had fun swimming the night away. The krabby patties were delicious! (thanks again Connie) We could not have asked for a more beautiful night. The weather was perfect. I wish that I had more pictures to share with all of you, but my camera is on it's last limb. It quit working right as everyone started showing up. I was not even able to take a picture of Joshua blowing out his candles. I think it's time for a new one! I will try to post pictures from Katy's camera as soon as she forwards them my way.

Happy Birthday Joshua!!
