Yum Yum Give Me Some

The other night I made fruit pizza with the help of Nicholas and Joshua. We did a great job because it was delicious! We used strawberries, pineapple, grapes, bananas, mandarin oranges, and kiwi. I can't remember the last time I ate fruit pizza. It is one of my favorite desserts that my mom makes. She use to make it all the time when I was younger and I loved it! Now the boys love it too!

Let it snow

Joshua had fun shoveling the snow

Nicholas trying out the 4wheeler in the snow

Noah doesn't know what to think of all the white stuff

Joshua not wanting his picture taken after playing outside

Snow days ROCK!!!!

Yeah! We got snow and it's still coming down as I sit here and type this post. School was cancelled today and will be cancelled tomorrow! I know that I am not in school anymore, but there is something about a snow day that excites me. I know that Nicholas was excited when he heard the news.

Nicholas, Joshua, and even little Noah enjoyed playing in all the snow today. Nicholas braved the cold and stayed out longer than all of us. Joshua couldn't handle the coldness or the fact that the snow would get into his gloves! He had to go inside to warm up. I don't blame him! Noah on the other hand was only outside for about 10 minutes. (just enough time to take a few pictures) The little girl inside of me came out when I was outside playing in the snow with Nicholas as Joshua and Noah took naps. We built a snow fort together! Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of it. Maybe we will get a picture of it tomorrow after its completely finished.

Family Fun

Nick, the boys, and I had a family fun day after taking Daddy to his doctor appointment in St Louis this past Monday. We wanted to do something fun because the boys had a day off of school.(thank you Martin Luther King) We decided to take the boys to an adult sized Chuck-E-Cheese also known as Dave and Buster's! This was our 1st time there and it was a hit with the boys as well as Nick. My boys love their video games especially race car/driving games. We had an early dinner and played about $40.00 worth of games. I will admit that it is a lot more pricey than Chuck-E-Cheese, but it was worth every penny. The boys had a blast! Here are some pictures of our adventure to D&B's. Enjoy!

Snow!

On Tuesday morning I woke up to Nicholas whispering in my ear, "Mommy it snowed! There is snow on the ground!" Normally I would have been the one to wake him up because he could sleep for days if I allowed him to do so. I guess his "snow instinct" woke him up before my alarm went off. Unfortunately, there was not enough snow to cancel school meaning the boys did not get to play in it. It was pretty much melted by the time Nicholas came home. They were able to throw on their snow boots and walk around in the little that was left. Hopefully, we will get some more before winter is over!

8 Months Old

On December 24th, Noah turned 8 months old. This little boy never ceases to amaze me. He has been so busy this past month growing, learning, and discovering everything around him. I know that he will be turning 9 months here in a few days. However, I am going to fill you in on Noah's life at age 8 months.
  • Noah celebrated his 1st Christmas this month! He enjoyed playing with all the wrapping paper and boxes. Eventually, he decided to play with all his new toys. Santa Claus brought Noah a big boy car seat.
  • No statistics to report because we did not have a well baby visit this month. We will be going to see Dr. Raben next week.
  • Noah has 5 teeth! (as you can see in the picture above) Noah got his front top left tooth on 12/24/08, his front top right tooth on 01/02/09, and his top left 2nd tooth on 01/12/09. He has a mouthful now! He uses his teeth to chew on food such as fruit puffs, Cheerios, and yogurt bites. Little by little, Noah has been experiencing table food. I have found that I am so much more relaxed with the 3rd child when it comes to introducing table food. Just last night I gave him a little bit of an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. Yum! Don't be alarmed though, he still enjoys eating at Mom's the best!
  • Noah is "talking" a lot more these days. His newest "word" is Ma! So far his vocabulary consists of Da, Bah, and Ma.
  • Noah loves to laugh and I could sit and listen to him do it all day long. He has this laugh that is so infectious. He sometimes will laugh so hard that he falls over! It's ADORABLE! I will try to get him on camera for you all to see.
  • Noah can use his fingers to pinch. As a matter of fact, he is famous for grabbing, scratching, and pinching mommy's face. He can be very aggressive at times and I will have to hold his hands down because he hurts!
  • Noah can clap his hands. When you motion and tell him "clap, clap, clap Noah!" he will clap for you. This little man is beginning to feel the beat and rhythm when music is playing. I have even caught him starting to move to the music.

Get well Daddy

Lots has been going on here in the Walter household. I am so sorry that I have not posted in quite sometime, so I will attempt to catch all of our loyal viewers up to speed in the next few posts.

2 weeks ago, Nick had surgery on his right shoulder due to a tear in his labrium. For the past few years or so, he has had trouble with his shoulder. I am sure it was an injury that occurred over time with him playing sports. So, Nick decided now was the time to do something about it. I will admit that I was against him having surgery, but I know think that he did make a good decision after all.

Like I said, it's been about 2 weeks and so far so good. He is recovering quickly and doing well with therapy. My man will be good as new before too long! Who knows, maybe his arm will be better than it was before and he will get to be a walk on pitcher for the STL Cardinals this season!!

Happy 2009!

Happy new year to all! We celebrated New Years Eve at the Love residence (by the way, thank you!) with some of our dearest family members. It was a great night because Nick and I got to ring in the new year with our boys (yes they stayed up till midnight) We were equipped with good food, tasty chocolate martinis, party hats and blowers, great company, and let us not forget, ROCK BAND! We, well I should say Nick, had a blast rocking out to the Wii game Rock Band. After the countdown, we packed up the car and headed home because I had to be up in 5 hours to go to work. ( I know, YUCK!) As for resolutions........well, I not good at keeping them. Instead, I will try to live each day of 2009 to the fullest!

Look who's crawling

Watch out! Noah is on the move. This little boy is constantly on the go once he is put on the floor. He started out on his belly, then getting up on all fours, then rocking back and forth, and now can crawl faster than you would not believe! Here is a video for you Grandma Violet and Grandpa Dan so you can see what your little Noah can do!
