Noah's Birthday Party

On Noah's actual birthday day, we had a Monkey Fiesta party! Thanks to Grandma Violet, we all had so much fun stuffing our faces full of tacos and nachos. One word....DELICIOSO!! Daddy even made Margaritas for all! Yes, it was still a 1st birthday so we adults couldn't have ALL the fun. The kids played on Noah's new swing set from both my parents and Nick's parents. How did my boys get so blessed with such wonderful grandparents? (Nick and I don't ever remember getting all the stuff that our kids get when we were growing up!) The kids also had fun bouncing on the inflatable bounce house and collecting all of the treats that fell from the pinata! Noah had the most fun swinging in his new swing from his Godfather, Uncle Doug! Here are some pictures (Thank you Katy!) of Noah's birthday party! I thought I would try out the "smilebox" website...here it goes!

They're Here!

Yeah! My personal chef.....Mom!!
My mom brought fresh avacados (my favorite) from Texas for the fajitas she made the 1st night she was here. Yummy!
Grandma Ana feeding Noah. He ate so well for her!

Boy-oh-boy are we ever so excited! Great-Grandma Ana and Grandma Violet are here all the way from Texas!!! The boys and I had been anticipating their arrival everyday since the day they found out both Grandmas were coming to visit us. So far, my Mom and I have been busy shopping for last minute party items for Noah's birthday tomorrow. Thank goodness for her because she has been lots of help with all the running around I have been doing. The boys love having Grandma Violet around while shopping because she will buy them almost anything they ask for. As a matter of fact, I am looking at 2 giant bouncy balls in my living room as I type! Gotta love Grandma!!! My Grandma Ana has been staying behind at my house for the majority of the shopping trips because she is fighting a terrible cough. I sure wish she felt better. I played nurse and bought her some special cough syrup (she has high blood pressure), Vicks Vapor Rub for her chest, and put the Vaporizer in her room. It has helped tremendously. Hopefully, she will be feeling better soon. Until then, we will enjoy every minute with our two very very special guests!

11 Months Old

Ah!!! Where did the time go?!?! I can't believe we are going to be celebrating Noah's 1st birthday in 1 more day! I better hurry up and update you on what he has been up to during his 11 month at life.
  • I do not have statistics on Noah's weight or height for this month. He will have a 12 month well-baby check up next week so I will be reporting those figures soon!

  • Noah celebrated his first Easter. The Easter Bunny brought him a basket full of Gerber Graduate snacks (his favorite) and a baby blue bunny. He also got a Fischer Price farm set!

  • Noah got his first haircut at Ron's Barber Shop. However, Ron did not get the honor of cutting his hair. Penny (Ron's daughter) gave Noah his first haircut. He did such a good job sitting all by himself in that big barber chair. I must admit that he sure does look CUTE with his new hairdo!

  • Noah's vocabulary has grown this month. He can now say: "Dada" (Dad), "Mama" (Mom), "Baba" (bottle), "uice" (juice), "key" (cookie), "num num" (says this when he is hungry or sees food), "Uh oh" (uses this word when he drops or throws something), "hi" (he says this as he waves his hand), "this" (thanks Mia for reminding me of this word), and "get" (he got this word from me because I say this to our dog, Bella, all the time)

  • Loves to play peek-a-boo and Where's the Baby?. He will take both of his hands and cover his eyes. It's the cutest thing!

  • Noah has mastered the art of stair climbing today! He was able to able to climb up our entire flight of stairs. Uh oh, thank goodness we already have a baby gate.

  • Noah is now a Tasmanian Devil. He gets into everything!!! I really need to invest in child proofing my kitchen cabinets. I do have the cabinet under the sink locked because it holds my cleaning supplies. His favorite thing to do is open up all my cabinets and take everything (and I mean everything) out of them.

More Easter Pics

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! We Walter's had a great Easter. I was able to take the day off work and be with my boys and hubby on this joyous holiday. Our day started off when the boys came downstairs and discovered that the Easter Bunny visited our house. The bunny brought treats in our baskets and hid all of the eggs we had colored the night before! After digging through the baskets, the boys decided to look for all the eggs. Guess who was the first person to find an egg? Little Noah!! After finding all the eggs, (thank goodness we found them all because they were REAL eggs not plastic ones) the boys and I went to church. This was my favorite part of the entire day! I enjoy taking my boys to church on any Sunday that I can let alone on Easter Sunday. I do cherish the Sundays when we can go together. After church, we headed to Grandpa Bob and Grandma Connie's house for brunch. The food was delicious! Grandma made biscuits with gravy, french toast, and her famous egg casserole. We ate so much that everyone laid around for a few hours. Before we knew it, it was time for round 2. We packed up the kids and headed to Aunt Peggy and Uncle Kenny's house for more food, Easter egg hunting, and visiting with family. We had such a great time!

We spotted little Bunny Fu-fu in our house! Wait a minute.....

It's not Bunny Fu-fu! It's just our little Bunny Noah! Silly Rabbit!
