Way to go Joshua!

Joshua graduated from preschool today! He has been waiting for this day for the last week or so. Everday he would say, "Mom. Only __ many more days until my gradumation" (No I did misspell graduation. That is how he says it.) Well, the day finally arrived and he was ever so excited! The ceremony was short and sweet! The kids sang songs (see below) and recieved preschool diplomas from the principal. Nick, Grandma Connie, Grandpa Bob, Aunt Maggie, Noah, and I were able to see Joshua on his special achievment! We are so proud of our little Joshua!

Old Friends = Good times

We had a special visit from an old friend over the holiday weekend. Our high school buddy, Ethan, and his family came over for dinner on Friday evening. It was a beautiful day to BBQ outside, so that is exactly what we did. Ethan's little boy, Manny, had a so much fun playing in the back yard with the boys and all their toys. Nick and I really enjoyed having them over. I enjoyed catching up with Ethan's wife, Leanna, and even found out that we have something in common. We both LOVE burned hot dogs! The food was delicious and the company was great! Can't wait to get together the next time they are in town.

Manny! Is he cute or what? Joshua had a hard time believing that he was a boy. I guess the longer hair threw him off. He would say she instead of he. He would also call him Mandy instead of Manny. We tried to correct him, but it didn't work!
Playing catch with Ethan while Daddy grills.
Master of the grill!
I am not quite sure why he needed the helmet, but he sure does look cute with it on.
Look at how well he shares his toys.

May Birthday!?!?

Today, at preschool, Joshua celebrated his 4th birthday! Now, we all know that Joshua's "real" birthday is in August, but he wanted to bring birthday treats to share with all his friends. Everyone else had their birthdays throughout the school year. (keep in mind there are only 6 kids including him) Poor little Joshua is the only kid in his class to have a summer birthday, so his teacher and I decided that today was Joshua's birthday day! He picked out a special treat (brownies and juice boxes) and helped me put together treat bags (Slinky's, funny face glasses, gumballs, lick-a-maid, and ring pops) to share with his classmates.

T-ball Time

T-ball season has begun! This is Nicholas's 2nd year playing t-ball. He had lots of fun playing last year and couldn't wait for it to start up again!

The thing I love most about t-ball season is that Nicholas and Nick have father/son time especially since Nick is the team coach. They both have bonded through this sport! The only problem is that Nicholas is only interested in t-ball when there is practice with the team or a game. I think Nick would like him to be a little more enthusiastic about practicing at home, but who wants to practice when you have a garage full of cool things to ride on and play with?

The thing I dislike the most is that all the games are on Sundays. Yep, that means I don't get to go to many games. However, I did get to go to his game on Mother's Day because I took the day off from work. Grandma Violet was there too! We were so excited to see him play!

Funny Feet/Toes

From day one, Nicholas has been able to stick his big toes straight up in the air. Kinda like a thumbs up only with his 2 big toes. As a baby, it was hard to get his shoes on because he would always stick them up. As a little boy, he would give a 4 thumbs up (2 thumbs and 2 big toes). Now he has found a new talent that includes all of his toes. The other day he walked into the room with the biggest grin on his face. I new something was up because he was walking funny. When I looked down at his feet...........markers!!! He had placed markers between all of his toes. He was able to walk from the living room to the dinning room with markers! Who knew he had so much hidden talent!!!
P.S. Like the new background on our blog?

Back to blogging

I am so sorry about not updating the blog, but I have been a little busy. I have been out and about with my mommy this past week! I love when she comes to visit because I get out of the house and actually do what I want to do. (not just what I have to do) Now that she is back in Texas, I will get back into my blogging routine. I have lots of pictures to download to my computer and post. Until I do just that, enjoy this picture of Nicholas and Noah!
