Joshua's 1st Soccer Game!

Joshua loves to play sports! So, when I asked him if he wanted to play soccer he said, "Heck ya!" Nick signed him up for a 6 week "backyard" soccer league in Belleville. He was so excited and couldn't wait to get started. Nicholas did not want to play soccer this time around. He decided he would sit this one out and cheer his little brother on. At first, I was a little bummed that he didn't want to play. Since then, I have come to the conclusion that his decision will let Joshua SHINE. Joshua will have something of his own and not have to compete against his brother for anyone's attention. Soccer belongs to Joshua!

Joshua's first game was this past Saturday. Let me just say that this little boy is a natural when it comes to playing soccer! I knew he would LOVE it, but I didn't think that he catch on so fast. He was all over that soccer ball! He may just be the next David Beckham! We had so much fun watching Joshua play! Now check out some of the pictures I took.

Warming up!

Stopping for a quick pic.

Action shot.

Daddy helping Joshua warm up before the game.

Huddle!

And he is off!

Getting ready to score! Joshua scored the first 2 goals (and yes I cried)!!!

There was no stopping him!

Get it Joshua.

I think he is getting his players mixed up here.
Joshua put your tongue in your mouth. Micheal Jordan is basketball not soccer. Silly!

Here he is attempting to steal the ball away for his teammate.
Little does he know that those boys wearing the same jersey as him are on his side.

Go Joshua Go!

Hustle Joshua Hustle!

Playing defense.

Here we go again with the tongue!

Time for a short break.
I can tell he was playing hard by the color of his cheeks!

Some of Joshua's biggest fans!

Tia (and Baby Gideon) and Jamison were able to make it out for the game!

Grandma Connie came out too!

"Hi Mom!"

Back at it after a short break.

Game over

Taking a bow for all their fans!

Daddy helping Joshua take off his soccer gear.

I am officially a "SOCCER MOM"!

Naoh's New Stroller

Check out Noah's new strollie! After searching for a new stroller, I was able to get this Graco stroller online at Target. Talk about a bargain....I got it for $38.97 (that included tax plus shipping & handling!) He was so excited to sit in it after Daddy put it all together. We have not been able to take it for a test drive outside because of all the rain we've been getting these last few days. However, we did take it for a spin inside the house! Hopefully, the rain will stop soon so that we can take a walk and Noah can "pimp" his new ride!

Another 1 bites the dust......

Nicholas lost another tooth today! He has been wiggling and wobbling this tooth of his for days and days without any luck of pulling it out of his mouth. Well, today was the day. All it took was a bite into a corndog at lunch and voila.........tooth #7 came out! He was excited to share the BIG news with me when I picked him up from school. He has never lost a tooth at school before. The school nurse even gave a special "tooth treasure chest" for him to keep his tooth in. Looks like the Tooth Fairy will be coming to 525 North Jackson Street tonight!

M.I.A.

We are back! Did you miss us? First let me say, I am sorry for not updating our blog. I know it is so not like me to go days weeks a month without posting what we Walters have been up to. Trust me. I do have a perfectly good excuse for being a "slacker". Want to hear it? It goes a little something like this:

It all began about 3 weeks ago, when a certain little 23 month old got ahold of my camera. (I know. I know. I should know better than to leave my camera sitting out.) I am sure you already know who I am talking about, but in case you don't, it's Noah. He decided to try out photography and snap some pics of his own. While doing so, he broke the automatic lens cover. Let us just say that the lens cover was no longer automatic making it impossible to take pictures.Thank goodness for extended warranties! The only thing is that it is taking FOREVER to get repaired! This MAMARAZZI is going through WITHDRAWLS! I am wishing, hoping, and praying (By the way Connie, is there a Saint for cameras that I can pray to?) that Best Buy calls me very soon. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

So, now that I am cameraless, what do I do? I take my blogging hobbie to the next level. (See. I told you. WITHDRAWLS!) I had to get my "fix" and that is when I created a new blog called Mascoutah Mommy. I got the idea from another website/blog that I follow called STL Mommy and thought, "I could do this same thing and call it Mascoutah Mommy."  And it all snowballed from there! Mascoutah Mommy is a resource for all  those busy Mascoutah mommies that balance the world on their shoulders while juggling their children, husbands/significant others, family, friendships, jobs, finances, homes.......all while trying to maintain or find a sense of personal identity and fulfillment. Now this blog is a work in progress. So far, I have had 308 "hits" and counting. I even started a Facebook Fan Page and already have 33 Fans! Who knew I was so computer savvy? Anyways, check out my work for yourself http://www.mascoutahmommy.blogspot.com/ Leave me a comment and tell me what you think!
