Our Baby Chain

The other day the boys were asking me, "Mom, how many more days until our baby sister comes?" At the beginning of this pregnancy, I would answer them using months, then it turned into weeks. Now that we are getting closer to baby girl's due date, I decided it was time to make a baby sister chain. I thought this would be a good way to help the boys "see" just how many more days (Yes! I said DAYS!) until SHE arrives. So far, they have been enjoying taking turns tearing off one link a day. Our chain is getting shorter and we are becoming more and more excited to meet her!

Go Grizzlies!

This is the second summer that we have been able to see a Gateway Grizzlies game! We always have a good time playing at the ballpark's playground, watching the game, and of course...getting our fill of ballpark food. This year, like last year, we met Joshua's T-ball team at the game. Can you believe that his team raised the most money during the Khoury League fundraiser again! This makes 2 years in a row....hence our second summer going to a Grizzlies game! The team's reward was tickets to the game, batting practice in the batting cages, and getting to run on the field with the players before the game started. We had a great time! Take a look at our pics.

You can never pass up one of these picture opportunities!

Nicholas and Joshua taking a break from playing while Joshua was in the batting cages with Daddy.

 Cheese!

When we walked through the front gate, a Grizzlies staff member approached me and asked if Noah would be interested in saying "PLAY BALL!" after the singing of the National Anthem.  As you can see from this picture, I agreed and Noah got to say "PLAY BALL!" It was so cute and yes I cried!

 My Joshua!

It's not a baseball game without a hotdog. YUMMY!

Noah's 1st Trip to the Dentist!

Last month, Noah made his first trip to see the dentist. He was so excited and felt like a big boy going with his brothers. Noah has always been good at brushing his teeth. As a matter of fact, I have to watch him closely when he goes to the bathroom alone or else I will find him making a mess with the tooth paste while attempting to brush his teeth all by himself. His only dental health "downfall" is that he still sucks his thumb. Hopefully, that will be something he gives up soon since he will be starting preschool this fall. Overall, this was a GREAT dental visit for all three boys. They were all cavity free!

Noah watched as Joshua had his teeth examined and cleaned. During this visit, we learned that Joshua's adult molars had come in! What a big boy!

As soon as Joshua was done, Noah hopped right into the chair. Here he is waiting for his turn!

Say ahhh!

He was so good at keeping his mouth wide open.

Time for a fluoride treatment.

I love how the trays make him look like he has big blue lips!

He was so excited to get a brand-new Diego toothbrush and some Sponge Bob toothpaste.

My Baby Girl Bump!

Here are some pictures that Nicholas took of me from back in June. I am at 29 weeks here and still very much "tickled pink"!

Summer Ball

I have always enjoyed the game of baseball. I remember my Dad taking my brothers, sister, and I  to see a few MLB games when we were younger. I also remember watching him play ball as a little girl. In highschool, I remember watching Nick play baseball during the school year and Legion ball in the summer. These days, I watch Nicholas and Joshua play baseball. I have developed a LOVE for baseball over the years and it's because of my dad, husband, and my little boys!

This summer, Nicholas began playing "real" baseball. What I mean by that is his team played all the positions including pitching and catching. The team even traveled to other towns to play. Some weeks he would have 2-3 games. This was a major change for us (mostly me) this year! Joshua started his second year of t-ball this summer. He loves playing baseball! He enjoys everything about it. I wish I would have been able to catch more of his games this season (his games were on the weekends when I was working). However, I did make it to every single one of his practices! Our baseball season just wrapped up this past weekend. Can't wait to do it again next year!

Nick and Nicholas.
Nick has been Nicholas's Head Coach every since he started playing Khoury League Baseball. This year was a little bit of a challenge because Nick's work scheduled changed as the season kicked off. He had to work nights. His boss was nice and understanding enough to let him take a couple hours off to coach the team when they were playing at home here in Mascoutah. As you can see in the picture above, this was one of those nights.
Joshua and Noah.

Grandpa Bob, Noah, and Grandma Connie walking to the car after the game.
Grandpa Bob and Grandma Connie were able to catch a few games this season! Even Grandpa Dan, Grandma Violet, and Grandma Ana got to see a game while they were in town visiting!

Nicholas, Noah, and Uncle Andrew at Joshua's T-ball game.
While in town visiting, Uncle Andrew was able to see Joshua play baseball. The boys are always so excited to see him. They can play for hours and hours with him! I guess that's what uncles are for!

Joshua with his serious game face on.

Here is Joshua batting!

Noah!
Noah is not old enough to play Khoury League ball, but that does not stop him from bringing a bat, ball, and glove to every single game. He always finds someone to play ball with.
