Christmas Pictures!

I hope that everyone had a great Christmas! Santa was very good to us here at the Walter house this year. I am not sure what Stanley the Elf reported to Santa, but it must have all been good news. I think it's safe for me to say that all three boys, Nick, and I were on the "Nice" list!

Christmas morning was, like always, AMAZING! For those of you with little ones, well, you know exactly what I am talking about. Nothing beats seeing the expressions on their faces as they come down the stairs to discover that Santa did visit our house. Every year, Christmas morning begins earlier and earlier. I remember not too many years ago when Nick and I would have to wake the kids up. That is no longer the case!

We spent all morning opening up all the presents under the tree. We had lots to open thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Gray, Grandpa Dan, Grandma Violet, and my brothers and sister. After playing for a while and eating breakfast, we dressed in our Christmas best and headed to Nick's side for MORE presents! Needless to say, our Christmas was definitely the Merriest!

Santa brought the boys a trampoline!!!
He also brought Nicholas a shooting gallery (gun the knocks cans over) and Joshua a guitar.

Noah got a talking Elmo from Santa.

Jump! Jump! Jump!

Joshua got a Snuggie!
Believe it or not, he has waited a long time to get one.
He was so happy when he opened this present.

Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town!

Tonight is the night! Can you believe it's already here? We Walters are more than ready for Santa to visit our house. We have a big day/night today so, let the festivities BEGIN!

Here are some photos from our Christmas card photo shoot. I was surprised that I was able to get as many good shots as I did. It gets harder and harder to a.) keep their attention b.) get them all to smile at the same time and c.) to get them all to look at the camera!

2010 Here We Come

I am not sure if you have noticed, but I have added a new column to our blog. The title of it is "2010 To Do List". I will continue adding to this list for it is a work in progress. I will also be "checking" things off by deleting them as they are accomplished. I have a bad record of keeping my New Year resolutions. However, I am good at making to do lists! Hopefully this works. We shall soon see if my list shrinks throughout the upcoming year!

Christmas Caroling

This month at school, Joshua's class made a visit to the local nursing home to sing Christmas carols for all the residents. The practiced very hard to sing perfect for everyone. I was able to capture some of the songs they sang! Enjoy!

P.S. Joshua told me before we entered the building that Miss Amy (his teacher) said that the nursing home would have a different smell and will be very warm. I got a kick out of that!

E-mail From Santa

Dear Nicholas, Joshua, and Noah

It's me, Santa Claus! I have been reading your mommy's blog and have seen that you have been good little boys this year. I hope that you are enjoying the Elf that I sent to your house. Did you name him Stanley? That is a wonderful name! I hope you continue to be very good. I will be coming to your house in 7 more days. I left a message for all 3 of you. Ask your Mommy to play it for you. See you soon!

Bestest Brothers

Joshua and Noah have grown very close over this past school year. I think it is mostly due to the fact that their big brother Nicholas is away at school all day long. They enjoy each others company especially when it comes to playing. During the day, they chase each other, play with toys, and snuggle on the couch while watching cartoons. I know that Noah will be sad when both Nicholas and Joshua are away at school all day when August rolls around. Here are some pictures of my two little guys!

Meet Our Elf Stanley

Can you find Stanley?

There he is!!!!

On December 2nd, a special delivery from the North Pole arrived at our house. Santa had sent us a special little elf! There he was sitting on top of our blinds on the window in the kitchen. When the boys spotted him perched way up high, they were excited! Their eyes grew wide with Christmas magic! Nicholas and Joshua had seen the elf that Santa had sent to their cousin Jamison's house. They asked me if/or when Santa would send one to our house. Well, Max the Elf (Jamison's elf) must have heard them asking and reported their request to Santa.

Our elf did not come empty handed. He brought along a book explaining how he helps Santa keep track of who is naughty and who is nice. He is watching everything that the boys do and hears everything that they say. Every night, he flies to the North Pole to tell Santa Claus how Nicholas, Joshua, and Noah have behaved on that particular day. When he returns to our house he sits in a new spot. Every morning, The boys are on the hunt to find him in hopes that he has come back.

So now that we have an elf of our own, it was only fitting that we name him. Nicholas and Joshua decided on the name Stanley. Stanley the elf! We don't have much more time with him because he will be leaving on Christmas Eve night to go to the North Pole. There he will stay until he returns next year. Until then, we will enjoy having Santa's little helper in our home.

Haul Out The Holly

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at the Walter house. All of our Christmas decorations are out and the tree is up complete with presents underneath it. So far, Noah has been good with keeping his little hands off my ornaments. However, every once in a while I will catch Joshua playing with them. Who would have thought that I'd have to keep a closer watch on the 4 year old versus the 1 year old!?! I just hope they don't get crazy and decide to unwrap the presents. I wouldn't put it past the both of them. Hang on. (Knock! Knock!) Okay. I am done knocking on the computer desk now!

Our Christmas tree.
While decorating the tree, Joshua was (and still is) quite concerned that we do not have a star on the top.
It should read:

Dear Santa,

Please stop here first. And if you could bring a little blue box with the letters T-I-F-F-A-N-Y in black on it, I would greatly appreciate it!

Sincerly, Mommy

I just had to have this ornament on my tree. It's so fitting for my household!

Pretty presents!

Nicholas insisted that Nick and I's stockings have the letters D and M instead of N and E

Time for presents!!!
Nicholas received many cool gifts from all his friends and family.
He is one lucky boy!

So many presents...so little time.

Opening up a card
This year Nicholas was able to read all of his cards, word for word, all by himself!

I think this may have been his favorite gift because it got such a big reaction from him. Thanks Tia for such a useful/cool gift!
