One Magical Christmas

We hope that everyone had a very merry Christmas! Our Christmas was WONDERFUL! We Walters must have been on the "nice list" (how did that happen?)because we received everything we wanted and more. This year was (like the title says) magical through the eyes of Nicholas and Joshua. Noah is still to young to understand what is going on around him. Nicholas and Joshua were very much into Santa Claus this year. They were up late on Christmas Eve tracking him on the computer! Nicholas was so worried that he might miss our house. I assured him that Santa would NEVER skip our house. After putting on their PJ's and setting some cookies and milk out for Santa, Nicholas and Joshua headed straight to bed! The boys came into to our room around 7:30am wanting to know if Santa had come. I told them there was only one way to find out. So down the stairs we went. In front on the tree was a 4 wheeler waiting for Nicholas, a John Deere barn and tractor waiting for Joshua, and a car seat waiting for Baby Noah. He had come! The boys were so EXCITED and of course my eyes began to tear up. The moment was priceless!

Santa Claus is coming to town!

This evening we journeyed out to the mall to see Santa Claus. The boys have seen Mr. C on different occasions, but so far we never got a picture of all 3 of them with him. I thought for sure we would be waiting in a huge line, but I was wrong. Thank goodness because Daddy was with us and we all know how much Daddy likes going to the mall! The line was short and the boys hopped right up on his lap. Now, I truly believe that this was the real Santa Claus. He needed no fake beard. He had the real whiskers and everything! Nicholas told him that he wanted a farm set for Christmas. Joshua was a little nervous and forgot what it was he wanted to ask him to bring for Christmas. He then replied, "monster truck with monster traction!" As for baby Noah, I think he may have whispered in Santa's ear that all he wanted for Christmas is his 2 front teeth. We will have to see what he brings come Christmas morning!

A Ganz Gathering

On Sunday, the family and I headed to the annual Ganz Gathering. The Ganz side is Nick's mother's side of the family. It's always so much fun getting together with Grandma Ganz, all the aunts, uncles, and cousins! I am truly blessed to be part of such a wonderful group of people! Nicholas and Joshua had fun playing with all of their cousins and Noah enjoyed being held by anyone willing to hold him. Nick was busy making his way around the room as well as mixing drinks in the kitchen. Leave it up to Nick to play "bartender". I think that all the trips to the Juicy Peanut have paid off! I, on the other hand, had fun visiting with everyone.

The boys had a blast with their new remote control cars from Grandma Ganz! Noah got new fuzzy footed PJ's! I got a beautiful Santa ornament that looks great on my tree! This year we played the gift exchange game "rob your neighbor". We all have so much fun playing his game. Even the kids join in on it! This year Nick and I got a LED Mag-light flash light, Nicholas got a Dancing Santa, and Joshua got an Elmo bubble bath kit with soap and color tabs for the bath water. Here are some pictures of the party.

7 Months Old

I know I am a little late with this post, but better late than never. On November 24th, Noah turned seven months old!! We are officially over the 1/2 year old mark. This little boy has been busy lately and has had lots of "1st's" this month. Here is what he has been up to:

  • Growing: Noah weighs about 18lbs. This is an estimate weight because he did not have a well baby visit this month. He wears 9month clothing, but will be in 12 months clothing before too long. We had to get a bigger size in diapers this month. He now wears a size 3! As far as teeth go, Noah still has only 2 teeth. However, his top 2 front teeth will be coming soon because his gums are bulging up there.
  • Eating: Still eating at Mom's and takes about 6-7oz every 4 hours or so. Noah loves to eat baby food! He has been eating a variety of fruits and veggies and drinking juice. His favorite so far are peaches and apple juice. His least favorite are peas.
  • 1st Thanksgiving: Noah celebrated his first Thanksgiving at Grandma Connie and Grandpa Bob's house with Daddy and his 2 big brothers. Mommy had to work, so we don't have any pictures of Noah on Thanksgiving Day (maybe Tia might have some). No turkey for Noah this year. Mommy's milk only!
  • Getting around: Noah has mastered the skill of crawling!!! He started out just scooting on his belly, but on December 5th he figured out he could go faster if he crawled. Watch out here he comes!
  • Cute Sayings: Noah has begun talking to us using sounds. He says "Dah"! He says it all the time! He makes lots of other noises with his little tongue.
  • 1st Owie: Fell down the entire flight of stairs (on mommy's watch) I have learned my lesson: he is faster than you think! Luckily, no cuts, bumps, bruises, or broken bones.
  • 1st Illness: Baby Noah had the stomach flu this month just like his brothers and Daddy. Poor baby was throwing up and pooping everything he ate. Thank goodness for the bathtub!
  • Favorite things to do: Play with big brothers Nicholas and Joshua and doggy Bella, Listen to Mommy sing Itsy Bitsy Spider and Patty Cake, and Placing everything that fits into his mouth in his mouth (we have to be careful about what is on the floor)
Noah is a very happy little baby boy that continues to make us happy each day!

Oh Christmas tree

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in the Walter home. All the trees are up and decorated. I had to buy a bigger tree this year for the Nicholas and Joshua because they were running out of room on their old tree. Noah even has his very own "Baby's 1st Christmas" tree in his room. It makes for a great nightlight. As for my tree, I am not happy with it. It's a pre-lit tree that I have had for going on 4 years and there are sections of the tree where the lights are out. We have tried to fix it, but have had no luck. We just put the section that doesn't work facing the corner. It still looks pretty!

No Baby No!

I was right! Noah is infatuated with the ornaments and presents under the tree. The moment he is placed on the floor he goes straight towards the tree. I keep telling him, "no baby no!", but do you think he listens? Nope! I have not been able to put any bows on the presents because I am sure he would have a lots of fun tearing those off. He is really going to enjoy all of the wrapping paper on the floor after everyone opens up their presents on Christmas!

Alpha Phi Christmas Party

Noah getting into all of the presents
Jack playing with the truck we gave him for Christmas
Tammy and Shane
(they can actually sit down together because they don't have to chase after any kids!)
Steve showing Joshua how to work his new airplane toy
Tammy, GG, and Emily
Nicholas and his Godmother
Noah loves presents!
My Goddaughter Livy
Lindz's little girl Isabelle
My Reindeer Cookies
Every year a few of my closest sorority sisters and I get together with our families to celebrate Christmas. It is always a great time and this year was no exception. This year Jaycie hosted the party so Nick, the boys, and I traveled to Glen Carbon for the festivities. Our group has grown since last year. It seems like every year we add more people! This year we added baby Isabelle, baby Payton (We missed you. Hope you are feeling better!), and my Noah. We even had another sorority sister, Emily, and her husband, Steve, join in on the fun for the first time! I am anxious to see if any new babies will join us next year (hint hint: Tammy, Emily, GG, and Roma). I already know we will have a little baby Shirley at next years get together! All of the kids had fun playing together and playing with all of Jack and Livy's toys! (sorry about the mess Jaycie) Us girls had fun gab gabbing away as usual! Can't wait until the next time we get together!

P.S. Roma, Brittany, and Jen......we missed you!
