What a character!
A while back I blogged about Joshua saying some of the cutest things. Today, I am going to post about some of the darnedest things he has said lately! Here we go!
Scenario #1: Yesterday, I took Joshua and Noah to the grocery store. I was in the baby food aisle and naturally there was a mother with her baby in the aisle with us. When I saw the baby I thought, " That baby's head is huge!" I knew that Joshua would think the same as soon as he saw him. Well, I was right. Next thing I know, Joshua loudly stated the obvious. It went like this. "Mommy. Look at that baby. He has a BIG head!" Needless to say I was embarrassed!
Scenario #2: We were sitting in the living room the other day and I looked over at Joshua. He was sitting on the couch with a puzzled look on his face. I asked him what was wrong. His response was, "air just came out of my butt and it smells like carrots." I cracked up and then thought to myself, man I need a little girl!!!!

How cute is he?
I was messing around on the computer and came across this picture of Nick. I had to post it for all to see. For some reason, when I look at this picture I hear the song "I'm bringing sexy back" in my head.

I can read
Here is a video of Nicholas reading a book that he made at school. He has been reading for sometime now. However, many of you have not had the pleasure of hearing/seeing him do so. He loves to read and is very good at it! I am so proud of him!

Can you guess who I am?
I was the 16th President of the United States of America.
Yep, you guessed it! Abraham Lincoln. This is another (one of many) masterpiece created by Nicholas. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did when he brought it home from school today.

9 Months Old
On January 24th, Mr. Noah Noah turned 9 months old. I know exactly what you are thinking. Has it really been 9 months already? The answer is yes and 10 months is just around the corner.
Here is Noah's life at 9 months:
- Noah weighs 17lbs. 10 oz. and is 28 1/2 in. long. He is still wearing size 12 month clothing. His little feet are measuring a size 4.
- Enjoys mealtime! He is a very good eater and still enjoys eating at "Moms" the best. He is a pro at using his baby fingers to pinch/pick up food and placing it in his mouth. He like to play a little game I call "give me my spoon". When you put a spoonful of food in Noah's mouth he will chomp down and not let go! He thinks it's FUN! He is such a stinker!
- Noah has 6 teeth with the 7th one on it's way in! Noah got his 6th tooth (top right 2nd tooth) on 01/30/09. We are currently working on number 7. (bottom left 2nd tooth)
- Noah is a strong little boy! He is pulling himself up on his knees. A couple weeks ago Daddy had to lower Noah's mattress in his crib. He doesn't pull himself up to a standing position yet. However, it will not be long at the rate he is going!
- Loves to give kisses! We have a very loving baby. Noah will freely give kisses to any who asks for one. All you have to do is pucker up and he will go in for the smooch. Very very CUTE!
- Noah is always on the go! He likes to chase his brothers. He crawls after them at top speed as they run around the house. It's amazing how fast he can go on all fours. I will put him down in the living room and go into the kitchen. Next thing I know, he is tugging at my pant leg. Fast I tell ya!
- Noah had a couple of 1st's this month. He had his first snow. Although he did not get to play in it, he sure did enjoy watching Nicholas and Joshua from the view of the front door! Noah celebrated his first Valentine's Day. He spent the day with Daddy and his brothers.

I'm lovin It!
Last night, we joined up with the other Walter Gang (Bob, Angie, Sydney, and Camryn) for dinner at McDonald's. We traveled to Lebanon's McDonald's because they have an indoor play land. The kids had fun playing together (well, up until the end when Joshua "couldn't take it anymore." (that seems to be his favorite quote these days) Even though we live in the same town, we don't see each other as often as we would like. I guess life is just busy that way. Thanks Bob, Angie, and girls for the fun dinner/play date. Can't wait to do it again!

100th Day of Kindergarten!
Today marked Nicholas's 100th day of Kindergarten! His teacher gave the class a special homework project related to the festivities. He was to get an empty water bottle and fill it up with 100 of the same objects. Nicholas decided to fill his bottle up with Valentine Kissables (candy). He said that others in his class filled their bottles with pennies, marshmallows, noodles, etc. We had fun doing the project together!
After school, I asked Nicholas, "Now that it has been 100 days since you have been in Kindergarten what are some of your favorite things about school?" Here were his answers.

Making Valentines
Sorry for no post yesterday. I am not sure why, but I was exhausted last night. I even started falling asleep on the couch while watching a movie with Nick. I usually update my blog at night after the boys go to bed. However, last night it was my bed vs. the blog and the bed won!
Anyways, here is a picture of Nicholas and Joshua making valentines for their classmates. They did a great job! We need to say thank you to Grandma Connie for helping us pick out and buying our valentines. THANKS GRANDMA!

We're in the 70's
We are talking 70's as in degrees not the disco era! It was so nice to go outside and not have to bundle up for once. Today the boys, Bella, and I enjoyed the weather by going for a walk and playing outside. It was a little windy so we could not stay out too long. Tomorrow is suppose to be just as warm, but without the wind. We will definitely take advantage of having a warm day so early in February!

Baby's new shoes
Noah has new shoes! I finally broke down and bought him a pair. It's not that I didn't have the money. It was that I was too lazy to go and get his little foot measured to see what size I needed to buy. (Gosh that makes me sound terrible) Last week, I finally journeyed out to the mall to get him measured. I went to stride rite because I have always gone to stride rite for my boys' 1st shoes. He measured in at a size 4. He is the 1st Walter baby to have regular width feet. If you don't remember my Nicholas had the fattest feet ever! He wore a triple E which is triple wide in stride rite language. Joshua wore an E which translates to wide. Maybe Noah will take after his mommy and have a narrow foot!
Anyways, I could not see myself paying $45+ on a pair of shoes that will not even be worn for walking purposes. Instead, I went on stride rite.com and found a pair for $20 with shipping included. You know me. I am a bargain shopper!

Dinner with the girls
Last night, I was able to sneak out of the house to spend some time with some of my closest friends. I met up with Jaycie, Tammy, and Lindz at an Italian restaurant in Edwardsville called Bella Millano. It was a belated birthday dinner in my honor. We tried to get together last week. However, the snow was against us. We don't get together as often as we would like, but we manage to pick up were we left off every time. The food was delicious, the company, like always, was wonderful, and the conversations...well lets just say the sky was the limit (right Lindz!) Thank you ladies for a great evening out. I can't wait to do it again!

My new car seat
Here is a picture of Noah in his new big boy car seat. He was getting to be quite a heavy load in his carrier! This car seat is so nice. It's a convertible seat so that means he will be able to use it until he no longer needs a car seat. It has 4 reclining positions and is super comfy! He is definitely riding in style now!

One Smart Boy
We are so proud of our Nicholas Jackson! Last week he brought home his report card for the second quarter of Kindergarten. He couldn't wait to pull his report card out of his backpack to show it to me. He is very proud of himself. I love that he gets so excited to see me get excited about how great of a job he does in school. Let me just say we have one smart boy on our hands! Grandma Violet always says the reason why Nicholas is so intelligent is because he attended SIUE while in my belly. I don't know if that is true or not. What I do know is that Nicholas sure does enjoy school and I hope that continues through the years.
